I have downloaded the demo version of the latest version of Microsoft Office for Mac. I was curious to see which improvements Microsoft did make to the 2008 version of the office suite that was ok for daily work, but a step behind the 2007 version for Windows. Unfortunately I have run into a problem directly during the installation process. The installer executes itself correctly and, after having asked the position where to install the files, it eventually fail in the middle of the writing process with a generic message: “Installation failed“.
I have googled the error and did not find a proper solution but in the end I was able to fix it and to install it correctly. Continue reading »
